We are seeking a line chef to join the team at the Windlass, one of the most celebrated dining destinations in Morris County. You will learn under the guidance of Chef Eddie, who has been working in some of the area’s top kitchens for more than 20 years.

Compensation & Benefits

• In addition to hands-on training under Executive Head Chef Eduardo Santos
• Compensation starting based on experience
• Health benefits eligible after 6 months of employment
• 401k participation eligible after 6 months of employment

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assisting with stocking and setting up the kitchen stations
• Preparing food including cleaning and cutting the ingredients and cooking main dishes, desserts, appetizers, etc...
• Plating prepared foods based on senior chef’s guidance
• Working with servers to ensure that orders are completed according to requests and on time
• Washing and cleaning the kitchen and cooking utensils and storing the equipment at the end of shifts
• Ensuring that the kitchen operation procedures and hygiene meet food safety standards and regulations
• Skills and Qualifications:

At least one year of cooking experience.

• Excellent kitchen administration knowledge and ability to work as part of a team
• Strong organization and active listening skills
• The ability to work on your feet for 10-12 hours a day and lift 30 pounds at a time
• Exceptional time management skills

Pizza Chef - The Windlass

The Windlass is seeking hardworking individuals to join their team!

Reports to: Executive Head Chef

Position Summary:

The Windlass Pizza Chef is expected to make delicious pizzas based on both traditional and modern recipes. Pizza Chef responsibilities include preparing pizza dough, slicing and chopping toppings like vegetables and meats and executing customers’ orders considering special requests. To be successful in this role, you should have experience with various pizza types and be available to work during business hours. Must have ability to lift 50+lbs, endure standing for long periods of time, work in a fast-paced environment, and multi-task. Ultimately, you will help increase client satisfaction by preparing high-quality pizzas.
